FALL 2025 Personal Development Classes

We are happy to be offering five classes this session.

We designed these classes specifically for individuals with developmental disabilities. These classes are offered to individuals who receive funding from Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD).

We use pictures, videos, audio recordings, and materials written in plain language.

You can expect a fun and positive atmosphere. We plan activities such as   brainstorming sessions, movement and stretching, puzzles, games, worksheets, and more!

 IN PERSON:

Emotional Regulation

  • Wednesdays from 10:00-11:30
  • Beginning October 8, the last class will be December 10 (10 weeks)

Speak Up! ( Self Advocacy)

  • Wednesdays from 1:00 to 2:30
  • Beginning October 8, the last class will be December 10 (10 weeks)

Sex Education and Healthy Relationships

  • Tuesdays from 1:00-2:30
  • Beginning October 7, the last class will be December 9 (9 weeks) No group on Remembrance Day

B.U.D.S ( Social Skills)

  • Fridays from 10:00 to 11:30
  • Beginning October 10, the last class will be December 12, (10 weeks)

ONLINE VIA MICROSOFT TEAMS:

Nutrition

  • Fridays from 10:00 to 11:30
  • Beginning October 10, the last class will be December 12 (10 weeks)

Groups are not held on Statutory Holidays

Deadline for applications is September 12 , 2025

Interviews to be held virtually via Microsoft Teams the weeks of September 15 and September 22

If you are interested in attending a class, you must first attend a virtual interview to assess compatibility with the theme and the other participants.

You will be contacted for an interview prior to the start date.

We will assess your knowledge and skill levels based on class requirements.
