2025 CET Accreditation
In May of 2025, Supported Lifestyles completed our Creating Excellence Together (CET) Accreditation Survey with Alberta Council of Disability Services (ACDS) for both Level I and II standards, and the Complex Supports Needs Designation. Sixteen randomly selected individuals along with their guardians (where applicable) participated in conversations with surveyors. A total of forty-four employees were involved in the conversations.
We are pleased to announce that we met 100% of the standards for the survey! We did not receive any mandatory Recommendations but were happy to receive some suggestions for improvement! As part of our commitment to continuous improvement the agency will carefully consider and review all suggestions.
Our agency was commended with the following:
- Intentional integration of cultural, religious, and gender-identity considerations throughout intake, planning, and staff training processes. The use of group education programs, personalized support, and family engagement promotes inclusive, person-directed services.
- Embedding conflict resolution within a broader culture of rights, transparency, and quality improvement. Tools such as the Services Guide, annual orientations, and the Speak Up group reflect a proactive and inclusive approach to empowering individuals.
- Integrating multiple approaches to promote and support individual decision-making, including communication supports, group learning opportunities, and clear documentation of support networks and guardianship roles
